Hydro Jetting in Tucson, AZ

A drain snake punches a hole through a clog. Hydro jetting removes it. High pressure water scours the full inside wall of the pipe, taking out the grease, scale, and root hair that a cable leaves behind, which is why a jetted line stays clear far longer than a snaked one.

Hydro Jetting Compared to Snaking

Both have a place, and the right answer depends on the line. A cable is fast and it is often the correct tool for a single soft blockage. Jetting is what you want when the pipe itself has narrowed.

What a cable does

It bores through the obstruction and restores flow. The buildup coating the pipe wall largely stays where it is, which is why the same line often clogs again.

What jetting does

Water at high pressure is directed at the pipe wall through a specialized nozzle, cutting through grease and scale and flushing the debris out of the system. You get the pipe back closer to its original diameter rather than a channel through the middle of the blockage.

When Jetting Is the Right Call

  • A line that has been snaked before and clogged again
  • Kitchen lines with years of grease buildup
  • Restaurant and commercial kitchen drains
  • Hard water scale narrowing an older line, which Tucson water is very good at producing
  • Fine root hair through a joint, after the main mass is cleared
  • Main lines being prepared for a camera inspection or a liner

When It Is Not

Jetting is not right for every pipe, and any plumber who tells you otherwise is not being straight with you. Old, brittle, or already cracked pipe can be damaged by high pressure water. That is why we camera the line first on anything questionable.

If the camera shows a pipe that should not be jetted, we will tell you and give you the options that fit its actual condition.

How We Run It

We start with the diagnostic and, where the line warrants it, a camera inspection so we know what we are putting pressure into. You get the price before the work. After jetting we can put the camera back down so you can see the cleared pipe rather than take our word for it.

GoodFellas is family owned and locally owned, licensed, bonded, and insured, and we quote upfront on every job.

Questions

Frequently asked

It depends on the line, its length, and what is in it, so we quote after the diagnostic rather than over the phone. Our diagnostic fee is $89 and you hear the full price before any work begins.
